Utilizing potential – saving energy

Elster Kromschröder expanding BIO/ZIO and BIC/ZIC burner ranges

Elster Kromschröder has expanded its proven BIO/ZIO and BIC/ZIC burner ranges with the inclusion of insulation inside the housing for preheated combustion air. The new BIOW/ZIOW and BICW/ZICW burners can be used with hot air up to 500° C and make better use of their energy-saving potential, through increased preheating of the air.

These new variants have a larger flanged air connection and are available for burner sizes 65 to 200. The time-tested modular construction of the Kromschröder burners means that they can be adjusted in length to fit the furnace geometry. For the BICW and ZICW models, TSC ceramic tubes are available in all the usual dimensions. Thanks to the high outlet velocity, this combination is particularly suitable for intermittent operation. The BIOW/ZIOW will be combined with a burner quarl which will allow a longer flame or a flat flame aligned against the furnace wall. Special versions are possible for applications at higher process temperatures.

All burners feature direct spark ignition and are equipped with ionization flame control. Versions with integrated pilot ignition lances can also be supplied as an option and it is also possible to convert the burners for UV control using conversion kits.
