Capaccioli S.r.l. shows off their Aral M650 extruder at Ceramitec

The eye-catchers at this year’s Ceramitec in Munich ­included the new Aral M650 extruder. Its designer/builder, Italian plant and equipment manufacturer Capaccioli, has added a new pillar to their platform: extrusion. The new Aral line, named after company founder Araldo Capaccioli, also includes such other clay preparation machines as box feeders and roller mills for diverse requirements. In Munich, we spoke to owner-managers Emma and Stefano Capaccioli about these new activities.

Zi: Mr Capaccioli, your company has been known and appreciated in the brick and tile industry for many years now as a designer and producer of automation solutions, dryers and kilns – in addition, of course, to your EasyMud moulding process. What made you decide to expand into extrusion technology?
 
Stefano Capaccioli: Our activities in the heavy clay sector extend back to the mid-1950s. Capaccioli has amassed a wealth of experience in automation and robot technology, eventually emerging as a market leader in that area. Later, we broadened our product array to include drying and firing...
