Batimatec 2011 – good for business

The 14th International Exhibition for Construction, Construction Machinery and Civil Engineering (Salon International du Bâtiment, des Matériaux de Construction et des Travaux Publics) had a very successful run in Algiers from the 9th through 13th of May this year. Some 850 exhibitors, including 385 foreign companies from about twenty different countries, came away highly satisfied with Batimatec, especially considering that more than 100 000 people visited the exposition.

The next Batimatec is slated for May 6 through 10, 2012.

Equipceramic

For Equipceramic, Batimatec was much more successful than the sales team expected. Josep Pain, managing director of Equipceramic‘s sales department: “In the course of the five-day fair, our team received numerous high quality visits resulting in high technical talks. Furthermore, also took place the signing of two new contracts.” Equipceramic has consolidated its position on the Algerian market and is presently carrying out 15 projects in the country. The outcome of the exhibition portends further expansion. Noureddine Moussa, Minister of Housing and Urban Development (»1), paid a visit to the stand and showed great interest in the projects that Equipceramic is presently carrying out in Algeria.

Keller HCW GmbH

Just like last year, this latest Batimatec in Algeria was a resounding success for Keller HCW, novoceric, morando and Rieter-Werke. Not only were numerous interesting talks held at the well-attended stand, but a number of closely pending projects were gone through once again in all detail with the companies‘ North African clients.

All in all, the expert public showed very keen interest in the modern, convincing technology that the stand had to offer. To quote preparation specialist Gian Stefano Marchisio: “North Africa is on the move, not just politically, but also in the economic sense. On the one hand, the area‘s people take pride in their traditions and values, but on the other, they are also open for modern machines and equipment. I think a lot is going to happen around here within the next few years.“

Hans Lingl Anlagenbau und Verfahrenstechnik GmbH & Co. KG

Summing things up, General Manager Andreas Lingl said: “We have good results to report!” This German plant and equipment contractor is extremely happy with the outcome of Lingl‘s Batimatec appearance this year. The Salon was very well attended, and the inquiries received were of high quality. Current developments on the Arabian market are spawning confident expectations. “More and more Algerian customers are attaching increasing importance to quality requirements”, confirms Andreas Lingl. “That lets us play out our strengths better than ever.”

The conclusion of a third supply agreement with S.A.R.L. Gipar for a complete brick yard once again underscores the reliability and competence of this German machinery and equipment supplier as a company that has been fostering close, trustful cooperation with Gipar for some years now.
