Claudio Marani – new General Manager of the Sacmi Group

The Sacmi Board of Directors appointed Claudio Marani as new General Manager of the Sacmi Group on 11 October 2016.

Claudio Marani started his career at Sacmi in 1981 and since then he has held various positions. He began as project manager in North Africa, then as area manager for various countries, including the USA, Turkey and all of Eastern Europe.

In 1997 he became sales manager at Sacmi Impianti Milan, a long-standing branch of the parent company which, during that period, achieved sales that accounted for 60 % of the Group’s sales. In the early 2000s, he became the general manager of the Ceramics Division.

A graduate in Chemical Engineering, Claudio Marani is now taking the helm of the Sacmi Group. He brings all the experience and know-how gained during his years as head of the Ceramics Division, which comprises four business units (tiles, sanitaryware, heavy clay, special pressings) and which contributes more than 60 % of the Sacmi Group’s consolidated sales.

Marani thanked the Board for placing their trust in him. He intends to move the Group forwards “by continuing the policy of investment and continuous innovation that has brought the Sacmi Group global manufacturing success“.
