Morando and Rieter – more than 200 years of experience concentrated at one production site

Since 2010 the equipment made by Rieter, the traditional German machine engineering company, has been built together with Morando equipment at Asti, Italy, Morando’s headquarters. Robert Kohl, Managing Director at Morando, tells us how the German-Italian cooperation has evolved.

Zi: The announcement that Rieter machines would be built in Asti in future met with some scepticism from clay brick and tile manufacturers as to whether the quality standard of Rieter equipment could be maintained. What is the situation today?

 

R. K.: After around two years’ manufacturing in Asti we can say that the quality is at least just as good, if not even better. We have not just simply continued building the Rieter machines as before, but competently optimized and further developed them step by step.
