New die for thermal insulation from Tecnofiliere

Tecnofiliere has developed a two-exit die for the production of innovative 380 x 250 mm blocks.

Thanks to its geometric characteristics, the die is suitable for shaping various types of raw materials and paste of different densities to make clay blocks that meet current thermal insulation requirements.

The die has a model CF2FC design, which combines the benefits of both the wide-exit and modular systems. Thanks to the wide exit of the body column from the die, the hourly production capacity is increased considerably while high product quality is maintained and the specific energy consumption reduced. This design also considerably increases die lifetime as maintenance can be performed simply by replacing the worn modules. All components, including the core holders, are produced using numerically controlled machines to ensure high dimensional stability and perfect long-term reproducibility.

The blocks produced are used for the construction of buildings with a normal load-bearing masonry structure. The insulation characteristics of the load-bearing blocks are such that the current requirements of Italian Legislative Decree no. 311/2006 can be met without the need for costly external insulation systems while guaranteeing the necessary mechanical strength, insulation and thermal inertness. The clay blocks can be laid fast and easily.
