Sacmi reports positive results in all business sectors

With revenues from sales and services at € 1.4 bill. (over € 40 mill. more than in 2015) and a net worth of € 642 mill., Sacmi has produced, for the third year running, one of the best results in the group‘s history. Positive results were achieved on both the Italian and European markets.

Particularly noteworthy are Sacmi‘s Industry 4.0 projects, part of a broad policy encompassing all the group’s divisions and businesses. The positive performance is also reflected in increased employment figures, with a total of 4 239 employees, over 2 900 of whom work in the Italian facilities. Alongside the takeovers and the inauguration of new headquarters (e.g. of the Verona-based Cosmec headquarters that heads the Sacmi Heavy Clay Business Unit), “service companies” that handle transport and logistics (Italiansped), provide manufacturing support (Protesa) and supply IT and administration services are playing an ever-greater role within the group.

In his sum-up, Paolo Mongardi, President of Sacmi Imola, said that the coming challenges will include further internal reorganization, starting with a “focus on recruiting younger personnel.
