Schiedel: Innovative design and detail solutions for chimneys

For ceramic chimneys, Schiedel showcased various new developments stages for its main product Absolut, underlining the importance of the chimney in modern house construction. Besides additional safety and flexibility, these cater for the desire for greater design and the trend towards buildings without a cellar. Especially for this purpose, Schiedel has developed a new prefabricated base for living room areas with an almost invisible designer door instead of the usual cleaning door. Aspects concerning combustion air supply, removal of condensate and very simple inspection have been resolved practically and integrated in the new component.

The company has also further developed the proven Absolut thermal separation block. The new block enables a more flexible, vertical thermal separation in the loft.

The manufacturer of chimney and flue gas systems can draw on great expertise in shaft engineering: in ventilation, Schiedel therefore focuses on the Aera LVS air distribution system, the backbone for a healthy living climate, which is already custom-fit during the construction of the building shell. The compatible Aera LVS air distribution system can be subsequently connected to Schiedel’s Aera Flex ventilation system as well as all common air conditioning systems with an air distribution diameter of 160 mm.
