Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia

Two strong shows – shared dates and venue

From 2 to 4 March 2016, India’s two ceramics-centred trade fairs, Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia, will be staged concurrently at Gujarat University Exhibition Centre in Ahmedabad.

“India is the world’s fastest growing ceramics market. So the decision to organize the two events concurrently will bring significant advantages to exhibitors and visitors,” commented Gerhard Gerritzen, Deputy Managing Director of Messe München.

India already ranks in the top three tile-producing countries worldwide and the industry is continuing its rapid expansion. Gujarat accounts for more than 70 % of the entire ceramics production of the whole country. For the more than 600 ceramics companies in this region, Ahmedabad is an excellent choice of location.

As leading trade fairs for investment in the ceramics industry, these two shows cover the entire bandwidth of classical ceramics, from raw materials to digital printing. Market cultivation responsibilities have been divided up between the two fair organizing companies according to region: MMI India covers the Indian, European, Russian and Turkish markets, while Unifair is looking after China and Asia. For the visitors, valuable synergies will be derived from the stronger international representation and a broader range of products. All the key Chinese, Indian and European exhibitors will be coming together on an exhibition space that has now been expanded by 2000 m².
