Water-struck brick slips – easy production in a DB-Multi

In this talk, a solution devised by Petersen/De Boer for the direct wet production of brick slips will be explained. With this solution, material loss is minimized or eliminated completely, in contrast to cutting brick slips from fired bricks.

Petersen/De Boer offers two types of machines: a modified machine and a new development. Besides production with zero material loss, considerable energy can be saved. Different types of brick slip can be produced, either on an existing production line or in a completely new brick slip plant, which Petersen/De Boer can supply either in full or in part.

Moreover an option will be presented for the individual production of water-struck bricks in line with market requirements. The wide flexibility of the press, which, without major retooling, can be used to produce NF and DF sizes as well as brick slips, enables the manufacturer to respond fast to changing markets or even open up new markets.
