Italian ceramic machinery takes the spotlight at Indian Ceramics
Following participation in the Spanish exhibition Cevisama which ended on 9 February 2018, the Italian Ceramic Plant And Machinery Manufacturers’ Association Acimac is ready for its next international trip to Gandhinagar, Gujarat for the 13th edition of Indian Ceramics, one of the largest Indian exhibitions of suppliers to the tile, sanitaryware and heavy clay industries due to be held from 7 to 9 March 2018.
The second major event in Acimac’s international promotion programme, the show will see strong participation on the part of Italian companies, a number of whom will be hosted in the collective pavilion organised by the association in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency ITA.
The companies exhibiting in the Italian pavilion are BMR, CMF Technology, ICF Welko, Icra, LB Officine Meccaniche, Projecta Engineering-SITI B&T Group, Setec, Sacmi, Smac Officine, System, Stylgraph, Tecnoferrari and Tecnofiliere.
Other Italian companies will be taking part in the show, including Appel, Colorobbia, Lamberti, Marcheluzzo Ceramics, Smalticeram, Smaltochimica, Surfaces Technological Abrasives, Tecnografica and TekMak, as well as international companies, including Alteo, Efi Cretaprint, Eirich, Esan, Esmalglass-Itaca, Ferro, Fritta, Imerys, Megacolor, Sabo, Sibelco, Torrecid, Verdés and Vidres.
The second day of the show, Thursday 8 March, will host the first edition of a technical workshop entitled “The latest innovations in Italian technologies”. At this event organised by Acimac in collaboration with the magazine Ceramic World Review, leading Italian companies in the sector will discuss the latest frontiers in the field of digital technology and large-size tiles.
The Italian presence at the show will be complemented by a lounge for exhibitors and visitors which will be used to promote Tecnargilla, the world’s most important exhibition of ceramic and brick technologies to be held in Rimini from 24 to 28 September 2018.
India has become one of the most attractive markets for ceramic machinery manufacturers. In 2016 the country ranked second amongst world tile producers with output volumes of close to 955 million m2 (7.3 % up on the 850 million m2 of 2015), a trend that is forecast to grow over the next few years.
After Indian Ceramics, Acimac will be taking part in events in Brazil, Russia, China, the United States and Iran.
