Ceramitec 2012 – the industry with new optimism

With 16 733 trade visitors (2009: 14601) from 106 countries (2009: 84), Ceramitec 2012 registered a 14.6-% ­increase in visitors. The exhibitors valued the internationality and high calibre of the Ceramitec visitors. At “Heavy Clay Day”, Zi Brick and Tile Industry International presented current issues in the industry. In the following short reports, we want to inform you about the new products and services presented by the companies at the trade fair.

1 Review of the trade fair

From 22 to 25 May 2012, a total of 613 exhibitors from 42 countries presented their companies, products and services in four exhibition halls at Munich’s trade fair grounds. With 62 exhibitors, China boasted its so far largest presence at Ceramitec, followed by Italy with 54 and France with 43 exhibitors.

A survey conducted by tns infratest shows: 92% of the exhibiting companies praised the fact that this is a leading trade fair and a further 94 % rated the quality of visitors as “good to excellent”. The “Top Ten” countries of origin for the visitors, excluding...
