New board elected for the Westerwald-Ton e.V. working group – Stephan Schmidt takes over as chair; Marc Wagner and Florian Goerg join the board team

The Westerwald-Ton Working Group has elected a new board: the previous deputy chairman, Stephan Schmidt (Stephan Schmidt Group), will take over as chairman of the Westerwald-Ton Working Group, according to a press release dated 21 January. He will be supported by Marc Wagner, managing director of Sibelco Deutschland GmbH (deputy chairman), and Florian Goerg, member of the management board of Goerg & Schneider GmbH u. Co. KG, as another board member.

“I am very much looking forward to the new task and to continuing to work with the board team,” said the new chairman Stephan Schmidt. “We want to continue with what has proven successful and at the same time provide new impetus for the future of the Westerwald clay industry.”

Michael Klaas and Hartmut Goerg will no longer be members of the board. On behalf of the Westerwald Clay Working Group, Managing Director Dr. Matthias Schlotmann thanked them for their many years of commitment and dedication to the interests of the working group. Schlotmann is also optimistic about the coming years: “Our aim is to continue to promote dialogue with the public and to highlight the importance of the clay industry in the region.”
