Europeanization in full swing

Relocation and renaming of CRH Clay Solutions

The headquarters of CRH Clay Solutions GmbH has been moved from Peine to the production site of the company’s Albert plant in Steyerberg, around 100 km away. The company’s administration and part of its sales have been operating from Steyerberg since November. “As a result of the move, administration and production will be tied together very closely, workflows and lines of communication shortened”, explained Theo Wenke, Director of Marketing and Sales.

With this pooling of expertise, the company is taking a further step towards Europeanization. The first step was taken back in February 2009, when the A·K·A Ziegelgruppe was officially renamed to CRH Clay Solutions. Becoming part of the internationally leading parent group CRH in Ireland and the increased cooperation with the company’s European affiliates in the Netherlands and Poland have not only lead to the concentration of Europe-wide know-how, but also widened the range within the different product sectors. German customers will be able to choose from an extensive selection of products for walls and paving/flooring from seven plants in the Netherlands as well as from the products of the four German plants.
