Cleia – a new enterprise with lots of heavy clay experience

In 2010, Ceric Systeme and Ceric Automation merged to form a new enterprise under the name Cleia. Operating out of Nolay, some 250 km south of Paris, the company’s around 75 trained technicians, engineers and other employees offer comprehensive engineering services and turnkey solutions for processes involving raw material preparation, shaping, drying, firing and automatic handling as well as industrial data management for the heavy clay sector. We asked Cleia’s President Philippe Penillard about the young enterprise’s goals.

Zi: Potential clients got a first glimpse of Cleia at Tecnargilla in September 2010. With you already having been familiar to the customers, how did they react to your new start-up?

 

P. P.: Before creating Cleia we had to develop a project for the takeover of Ceric Automation and Ceric Systeme and we asked our potential customers what kind of structure they would trust, what they were expecting from us.
