The Braas solar product line

Universal roof-integrated photovoltaic array

Braas has expanded its product portfolio for solar energy systems to include a second in-roof PV system. This new product, the Braas universal roof-integrated photovoltaic system, integrates crystalline PV modules directly into the existing roofing. The system is universally applicable for all regular-market pantiles.

The Braas universal roof-integrated photovoltaic system (ordered according to the German designation Photovoltaic Indach-System Universal) integrates quickly and easily into new and existing roofs in place of conventional roofing. It fits harmoniously into the roof‘s optical impression, generates ecofriendly energy and reliably protects against wind and weather. Braas‘ new system meets all fire-protection, wind-uplift and rainproofness requirements relevant to in-roof photovoltaic systems. Numerous tests in Braas‘ own wind tunnel document that claim. Since system installation starts at the top, the fitter always has a good place to stand on the lower-down battens.

The polycrystalline modules have a nominal rating of 185 Wp or 190 Wp and, compared to numerous other modules, an exclusively positive performance tolerance. The module frames have special air slots that ensure good ventilation of the PV modules and, hence, high power output.

The universal roof-integrated system comprises, in addition to the PV modules, an installation frame and all the requisite inverters and connecting cables. An in-service system can be expanded horizontally or vertically at will by means of special-purpose extension sets.
