“ASGA” and “PartDetective”

Elster Kromschröder inspires with intelligent applications

Elster Kromschröder is offering its customers a new application for the iPad. This app makes it possible to determine nominal sizes for gas valves. The designation of the app, “ASGA”, means “Auswahlschieber für Gasarmaturen” (slide rule selector for gas fittings). To determine the nominal sizes, the user firstly selects the type of gas and the required product. He then slides the flow rate to the permissible pressure loss. The corresponding nominal size is evaluated quick as a flash and can be read off at the “DN” marking. Then, the next value up is calculated in each case. The reverse is just as simple: the customer simply enters the nominal size and can then read off the pressure loss at various flow rates. “ASGA” can be set by the customer to German, English and French at the touch of a button.

At the same time, Elster Kromschröder has fully revised its “PartDetective”, an independent program for selecting spare parts, and has given it a number of additional functions. The extensive database can be operated even more easily and conveniently. For example, the customer can now enlarge or reduce the size of drawings of selected products with no loss in quality, and, at the press of a key, fit them into the required frame. Moreover, drawings can be moved with the mouse or with the Ctrl and arrow key, they can be saved in various formats and sent by e-mail. Customers receive “PartDetective” on a free DVD. This also contains the familiar “Docuthek” including online help. The document library offers technical information, operating instructions, drawings, etc. from the product range.
