Equipceramic modernizes “Sibirskiy Element“

The factory, built by Equipceramic more than 20 years ago, has been modernized extensively. The complete equipment in the cutting zone, the loading line for the green products onto the dryer cars and the unloading line for the dried products have been replaced. In future the plant will not only produce facing bricks but also blocks in various sizes.

Two cutting systems are used. The first cutter cuts clay columns that are fed either to the multi-wire bevel cutter or the block cutter. A single multi-wire holding frame is used for cutting 1 NF, 1.4 NF and 2.1 NF. A three-side chamfer is applied by rollers, the fourth side is scrapped by special “fingers”. The cutter is equipped with a broken-wire detection system, as well as an automatic cleaning device for rollers and wires. Its high capacity provides a large margin to the nominal capacity of the factory. The block cutter cuts products up to 500 x 250 x 219 mm in size.

Loading of products onto the dryer cars consists of two parts: a conveyor belt loaded with a layer of products is positioned before the car. A special device with motorized rollers is set between the rods of each deck and loads green ware with millimetre accuracy. Dried products are unloaded by the inverse method to the loading process.

All the equipment has been successfully installed and commissioned.
