Fifth generation of family takes control of company
J.C. Steele & Sons is pleased to introduce the next generation of Steele family members to lead the company. Steele specializes in material preparation, feeding and shaping solutions for customers in heavy clay, metals, minerals and mining.
Mac Steele is now President in charge of all worldwide sales and customer service. He will also oversee Steele’s sister company in Germany, Händle Maschinen und Anlagenbau GmbH, which provides engineering and machinery to the ceramics industry around the world.
Marian Steele Clark is now President in charge of finance and all manufacturing operations in Statesville, North Carolina, where the company has its headquarters. She will also manage the company’s Australian subsidiary, Steele Australia.
David Steele, the previous president and a fourth-generation member of the Steele family, becomes Executive Chairman, a part-time position to manage a smooth transition to the fifth generation of leadership. He will also serve as liaison to Direxa Engineering, a Steele subsidiary based in Lakewood, Colorado that specializes in engineering, procurement and construction for ceramics plants.
