Further development of the extrusion process based on overall analysis of the extruder, press head and die system

The extrusion process continues to play a central role in shaping in the clay brick and roofing tile industry. The machine supplier needs extensive know-how to enable his customers to make products of excellent quality and with maximized efficiency at the same time.

In December 2013 the machine supplier Händle acquired the die manufacturer ZMB Braun, which then became part of the Händle group of companies. With the close cooperation of these companies, which have been working in this sector for a long time, the focus is on the further development of the extrusion process. Here the interplay between extruder, press head and die are extremely important. In this connection, several projects have already been successfully completed.

In the joint talk by Händle and ZMB Braun, possibilities in the laboratory, development and optimization of integrated extrusion units from the extruder to the die are presented.
