Juwö Poroton-Werke Ernst Jungk u. Sohn GmbH, Wöllstein (Rhineland-Palatinate), have taken over Adolf Zeller GmbH & Co. Poroton Ziegelwerke KG, Alzenau (Bavaria). We spoke to Stefan Jungk about this investment, its goals and the tasks ahead.

What was your goal in taking over Adolf Zeller Poroton Ziegelwerke KG in Alzenau, Bavaria?

We’ve been working together with Zeller for many years. We were both clay block manufacturers from the beginning in what was then the Poroton Association and we are founding members of the “Mein Ziegelhaus” (My Brick House) group.

As there was no successor at Zeller, the danger loomed that its traditional site with its great potential in the booming Rhine-Main region would have been lost. Experience teaches us that where there is no longer a brickworks, no more bricks are sold and other building...
