The ceramic industry in India continues being attractive for international companies

The two strongest ceramics trade shows of India, namely Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia, will be held concurrently at the Gujarat University Exhibition Centre in Ahmedabad for the first time from March 2 to 4, 2016. India is the strongest growing ceramics market worldwide. Today, India is among the top three countries in the field of tile production and its further development is proceeding by giant strides. More than 70% of the country’s entire ceramics production takes place in the Indian Federal State of Gujarat situated in the country’s north-western part. Therefore, Gujarat’s capital Ahmedabad is the ideal venue for the co-location of Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia and the key to the Indian ceramic industry. Some 230 exhibitors from India, China and from around the globe will present their products and solutions at the trade show. They represent the full array ranging from classic ceramics to raw materials through to digital printing. China, which occupies an exhibition space of 2000 m2, accounts for one of the largest national pavilions. With some 100 exhibitors, the country has nearly decupled its participation. However, European exhibitors also boast strong representation, as for example Italy with a large joint pavilion organized by ACIMAC, the Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for the Ceramics Industry.
All Chinese, Indian and European key players will get together on an exhibition space that has been enlarged by 3000 m2. The following companies, among others, will be represented: Astron Zircon, B R Steel, Beralmar, Cleia, Colorobbia, Cretaprint, Dorst, Eirich, Esmalglass-Itaca, Händle, H&R Johnson, HLT Press, Imerys, Modena, Monte Bianco, Netzsch, Rex Tone, Sabo, SACMI, Saint Gobain, Sibelco, SITI B&T, Smalticeram, Smaltochimica, System, Torrecid and Verdes, Vidres. An additional hall offers more space for presenting state-of-the-art technologies and innovations. The expected 6000 visitors will benefit from a stronger international presentation and a wider range of products. As its previous editions, Indian Ceramics 2016 will be accompanied by an outstanding Supporting Program. Once again, the cfi (ceramic forum international) magazine will organize a workshop. The seminar is supported by ceramitec München and will be held at the “Innovation Exchange Area” on March 3, 2016, from 10.30 a.m. to 02.00 p.m. Well-known international companies, such as SAMA Maschinenbau, SACMI Group, Imerys Ceramics, will send their speakers to the workshop. As a matter of course, participation is free of charge for the visitors of the trade show. As a prelude to the workshop, there will be a panel discussion chaired by Karin Scharrer, Editor-in-Chief of cfi.
Paying a visit to both trade shows – Indian Ceramics and Ceramics Asia – is a must for all decision-makers of the Indian ceramic industry. For it is only here, at the only B2B trade show for the ceramic industry – where all technical innovations, machinery and equipment are displayed in order to be able to meet the challenges of the rapidly growing and changing market.
