BIMobject LIVE 2020, 2 and 3 March 2020, Malmö, Denmark

More sustainability through digitalisation

BIMobject LIVE 2020 addresses the most pressing issue of our time, climate change. During the twoday international congress in Malmö on 2nd and 3rd March 2020, experts from the construction industry, architecture andclimate research will examine the question of how digitalisation can be used to achieve greater sustainability in the construction industry and enable climate-neutral construction.
Climate change poses new, major challenges for the entire construction industry. At the same time, digital processes and technologies under the banner of Building Information Modelling (BIM) is opening up new paths for product selection, resource-saving and more energy-efficient construction. BIM with its networked process chains and improved communication channels (for example between architects and manufacturers) brings the value upstream enabling better informed decision making.
The congress is organised by BIMobject AB, the world's largest platform for manufacturer-specific BIM content. "In the face of climate change, we all have a responsibility. BIMobject is facing up to this responsibility by driving forward the digitalisation of the construction industry, which is demonstrably and significantly contributing to making construction more climate-friendly. In addition, it is important to us to initiate an overarching discourse among all those involved in planning and building about sustainable construction and digitalisation. Knowledge transfer with industry experts, exchange of experience, best practice reports and lively discussions – together with participants and speakers from around the world, we want to develop perspectives and proposed solutions for a better future on March 2nd and 3rd in Malmö," says Carl Silbersky, CEO of BIMobject AB.
BIMobject LIVE 2020 is the sixth event of its kind. The BIMobject Awards will be presented again this year, including a new category "Sustainable products". And of course the congress will take place in an architecturally modern and sustainable building, the Clarion Hotel in Malmö.
