New Head of Public Affairs at Bavarian Brick and Tile Industry Association

Since January 2023, Annette Resch has been the successor to Peter Hülsen at the Bavarian Brick and Tile Industry Association (BZV) as Head of Public Affairs.

Her tasks and goals in this function include consolidating and further expanding communication with state and local political decision-makers as well as close coordination with the Federal Association of the German Brick and Tile Industry. The continuous communication process vis-à-vis politicians, representatives of administrations and ministries as well as other relevant stakeholders such as architects, building contractors and the public is to be further strengthened.

The aim is to promote the concerns of the Bavarian brick and tile industry. Currently, the industry is particularly concerned with security of supply, the transformation process towards climate-neutral production and access to raw materials. Another important topic is the demand on politics and administration for technology openness and building material neutrality. In addition, the positive characteristics of brick construction, the innovations of brick manufacturers with regard to their products and their own energy supply, and the advantages for species protection through raw material extraction will be presented.

Before working for the BZV, Annette Resch was, among other things, the personal assistant and office manager of a Bavarian member of parliament.
