Stronger together: planned merger of brick associations with emotional farewell to Hermann Berentelg

Positive signal for merger of brick associations

The brick associations within the vero family are moving closer together. The Fachverband Ziegelindustrie Nord e. V. (Northern Brick Industry Association) and the Fachverband Ziegelindustrie Nordwest e. V. (Northwest Brick Industry Association) are planning to merge on January 1, 2026. The aim is to establish a powerful, efficiently structured Fachverband Ziegelindustrie e. V. (Brick Industry Association) with a joint board of directors made up of representatives from both previous associations. The previous collective bargaining areas will remain unchanged, as will the stable contribution regulations and secure financing. The general meetings of both associations have already given a positive signal to initiate the next steps. With the merger, the associations are pooling their expertise, strengthening the representation of the brick industry's interests, and securing a sustainable structure for their member companies.

Farewell to Hermann Berentelg

The farewell to Hermann Berentelg, Managing Director of the ABC Clinker Group, was an emotional moment. After decades of influential work, he is stepping down as chairman of the trade association. His extraordinary commitment and clear vision have had a lasting impact on the work of the industry.
