Innovatherm bids last farewell to Klaus-Peter Appel
Innovatherm owes its existence to Mr Klaus-Peter Appel, who founded innovatherm Prof. Dr. Leisenberg GmbH + Co. KG in 1991 together with Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Leisenberg.
The majority of innovatherm was founded as a subsidiary of Hans Lingl Anlagenbau und Verfahrenstechnik GmbH & Co. KG, which Mr Appel headed as managing partner together with his brother-in-law, Mr Hans Lingl junior, for a total of almost 40 years.
Klaus-Peter Appel was a master at weaving innovatherm as a freshly founded young company into the Lingl group of companies. While Lingl realised large plant construction projects all over the world, innovatherm was responsible for the modernisation business of existing ceramic plants.
Mr. Appel gave innovatherm a great deal of entrepreneurial freedom, which the company used successfully. Among other things, this enabled innovatherm to become today‘s world market leader for firing systems in the primary aluminium industry.
The employees, shareholders and pensioners of innovatherm bow their heads in gratitude and in silent mourning before the life‘s work of Klaus-Peter Appel. They will always keep him in their memories.
