SABO is expanding its operation to prepare for new  projects and orders

SABO is expanding its footprint in the heavy clay sector with its new projects and its expansions. The company is present with its network of agents, area managers and solution engineers in more than 55 countries. The company is focusing both on markets of the developing world  as well as those of the developed world utilizing its large solution and service portfolio of products.

In the developing world, the need for new modern and efficient brick plants is coming as a result of big housing needs and growing population, while in the developed countries the aim of high efficiency either in the form of kiln and dryer energy savings or in the form of modern, reliable, usually robot-assisted automatic handling machines.

Current work in progress

SABO is currently commissioning a mega plant capable to produce 1200 tons of fired product per day in North Iraq. The plant incorporates all new technologies and the best practices of the field. Moreover during 2026 three projects for dryer and kiln modernization in the Balkans are expected to be completed. All three projects are focusing on energy savings and efficiency upgrades.

SABO is also working on the supply of two complete plants in Central East Asia which are currently in the construction phase and expected to be finalized at the beginning of 2027.

Under way there is also a big project for the production of roofing tiles in Europe and two setting machines in UK. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the company was assigned with two high capacity cutting and setting lines in USA and one dehacking line in  Canada, all  to be delivered in the first two quarters of 2027.

Finally, another mega plant is also under design for the market of Iraq.

As regards its product portfolio, SABO is growing fast in sectors outside Heavy Clay. It has formed separate divisions with dedicated sales and engineering teams for handling solutions in industries outside of heavy clay, power and automation projects  and recycling and mechanical sorting of waste.

It is evident from current projects that the main focus areas of SABO heavy clay are:

Complex and extended- scope turnkey plants for bricks and blocks

Dryer and Kiln energy efficiency upgrades or new installations

New robotic handling lines and upgrades

Scaling up

To cope with the increased orders SABO is scaling up its technical and production personnel as well as its facilities. The company workforce has reached the number of 370 people.

SABO has moved its electrical-board assembly in a recently constructed hall. With the correct space allocation and appropriate facilities, the company is targeting higher efficiency and competitiveness in the electrical control which is a critical part of its lines. As previously mentioned, the company is pursuing projects purely for power and automation in a wide range of customers in the manufacturing sector.

Finally, a new hall is currently being built to accommodate assembly works, mainly the final assembly of machines that require space.
