The countdown has started!

Just about ten weeks to go: Ceramitec in Munich is opening its gates from 22 to 25 May. Interested trade visitors from all over the world can find out about the latest machines and equipment, raw materials and auxiliaries, as well as processes for the ceramics industry.

For clay brick and roofing tile makers, no doubt Hall B5 will be the first port of call as this is where the machines, plants and equipment for heavy clay ceramics will be presented. And that’s where you’ll find us, the journal Zi Brick and Tile International. We look forward to welcoming you to Stand 500.

The suppliers of raw materials and auxiliary materials, powders, operating and auxiliary supplies are exhibiting in Hall A6 while the producers of refractories, kiln furniture, kilns and related equipment will be in Hall A5.

In its Ceramitec issue May 2012, Zi Brick and Tile Industry International will provide you with a concise overview of the products and services offered by the different exhibitors.

And you had best circle 23rd May in your diary! On this date, we are organizing the “Heavy Clay Day” for the second time, with talks by high-calibre speakers on the core theme of the “Conservation of Natural Resources and Energy Efficiency”. The focus of the talks will be on possibilities for saving raw materials and energy in the production of heavy clay products.

One highlight of the event will be the première of an image film produced by the European working group ECTS (European Ceramic Technology Suppliers). In this film the high quality and benefits of brick buildings are described in simple and understandable form. The aim is to further enhance the image of clay bricks and tiles, especially in developing and threshold countries. In a subsequent panel discussion, we want to discuss together with you possibilities for promoting clay brick and tiles as a building material.

Another focus at the talks will be the fact that “energy efficiency” is not only of great importance during production, but also in the use of the product and how clay bricks can hold their own in this respect.

In the evening we can meet at the traditional “Bavarian Evening” at the Paulaner im Tal inn, with Bavarian specialities, music and good entertainment. Tickets for the event are available for a price of 40 € from fischer@ziegel.de.

I look forward to meeting you in Munich and discussing with you the future of our industry!

Yours
Anett Fischer
