Power from the roof – MS 5 PVM photovoltaic system from Nelskamp

For the generation of solar power, Nelskamp has come up with an aesthetic alternative: the new “MS 5 PVM” photovoltaic system blends harmoniously into the roofscape, in contrast to photovoltaic systems mounted on top of the roof. The modules are manufactured from 6“+ monocrystalline cells. They boast ~16.5% efficiency. The glass laminate modules consist of low-iron 3.2-mm-thick solar safety glass. Aluminium bars frame the long sides. Thanks to the low weight of the modules – just around 11 kg - they are also suitable for roofs that do not have much reserve structural strength. The patented large-size roofing tiles MS 5 PV are used as a support on which the modules are placed. The homogeneous roofing surface also provides high storm and rain protection. With the MS 5 PVM system, the clay brick remains the dominant element in the design of the roof.
