Restructuring plan for Ceric
Ceric has gone through a difficult economic phase which has led to receivership. In future Ceric wishes to put its entire technical competence and years of experience at the service of its customers. With the size of the company adapted to the market, Ceric aims to offer its customers closer proximity and sharpened competitiveness in a cooperative partnership, while retaining a company unit that allows a good development potential.
It is Ceric’s ambition to be back among the great world-wide players of the brick and tile sector. On the 17th February two serious cost-effective alternatives were submitted to the Commercial Court in Paris, which should guarantee the durable and profitable continuation of Ceric’s activities. The two projects were developed by the experienced senior executives with many years of service in the company, in order to best comply with the expectations expressed by all customers. The plans provide for the three companies Fimec, Adler and Tecauma being positioned outside the ceramic sector. The companies Ceric (complete plants for the heavy clay industry), Pelerin (preparation plants) and Ceric Automation (handling equipment) should be merged into one firm and continue its activities for the heavy clay sector. On the 24th February, after copy deadline, a decision will be made regarding these plans.
