KELLER HCW repositions itself
01.08.2025According to a press release dated 29 July 2025, KELLER HCW, a supplier of turnkey plants, machinery and equipment for the heavy clay industry based in Ibbenbüren-Laggenbeck, intends to strategically realign its business and lay off more than half of its workforce.
KELLER HCW plans to focus its service portfolio on its core competencies
KELLER HCW will focus its portfolio on its core competencies and exploit new opportunities to create added value for its customers. The company is focusing its activities on growth markets and leveraging its existing technological expertise to drive forward the electrification of kilns, the decarbonisation of existing plants and the development of energy-efficient process technologies. This includes innovative solutions for drying and firing processes that reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions in line with global climate initiatives.
In addition, KELLER HCW will continue to develop and produce innovative grinding machines, cutting machines, palletising systems and film stripping machines – technologies that are indispensable for many industries and will continue to form a central part of the product portfolio in the future.
Turnkey plants for the manufacture of heavy clay products will no longer be offered in the future. This plan only affects complete plants and machines that were developed and delivered as total solutions (plants).
As part of this reorganisation, the current ‘Heavy Clay’ (HC) and ‘Spare Parts and Services’ (HC SPS) divisions will be merged into the new ‘Keller Technologies & Services’ (KTS) division. All existing customers of the HC and HC SPS business units will be served by the KTS team in the future. This change will optimise processes and improve service for the company's customers. KELLER HCW will fulfil all current contracts and obligations.
Strategic realignment to strengthen KELLER HCW's expertise
With this focus on its portfolio, KELLER HCW is responding to market developments and the difficult economic conditions of recent years. As part of the realignment, the number of employees must also be adjusted to future requirements. Negotiations with the works council have already begun in this regard. Around 120 jobs are to be retained at the Ibbenbüren site. The aim of the realignment is to strengthen KELLER HCW's expertise so that the company can offer its customers even greater added value in their projects.
KELLER HCW CEO Andrea Pasquali: "Just like our owner, I am firmly convinced that we will be sustainably successful with our future focused orientation. The KELLER HCW teams remain committed to supporting our customers' goals and expanding our partnerships and shared success."
KELLER HCW is part of the French Groupe Legris Industries.
