Capaccioli presents new C.O.N.D.O.R. ultrafast dryer

One of the key features of the new dryer is its very low specific energy consumption. As the Andean condor uses the air currents perfectly for its flight, the Capaccioli engineers have been working on the selective and efficient use of the air flow in the dryer to achieve this extremely low specific consumption.

Main features:

Drying cycle: from 30 to 180 min

Specific consumption: 8 kWh/t fired product

Producible products: lightweight hollow blocks, load-bearing blocks, thermal blocks, bricks

Capacity: from 6 to 60  t/h per channel. Higher capacities are possible with multiple channels

The major benefits in comparison with other traditional and fast dryers are:

Low energy specific consumption

Reduced first investment cost

No special civil works required

Low maintenance costs

Easy execution of the process

Simplified handling system

Simplified plant management

Capaccioli has already received orders for six dryers. The Turkish companies Zumrut, Ejder, and Aydin Tugla have confirmed their orders for three systems, each with two Condor dryers with a nominal capacity of 750 t/day.

A patent has been filed for the new dryer and the process on which it is based.
