Innovative technology for mixing heavy clay

WKB Systems GmbH is presenting an innovative brick mixing system called “RoboMix”. Increasingly, Architects are expecting building contractors to lay bricks in certain patterns of type and colour for attractive façades. Consequently, contractors are having to provide their masons with mixed packages of bricks in order to reduce the cost and time expenditure of wall construction.

Often, the brick manufacturer has to sort, palletize and package such orders by hand. WKB Systems GmbH, however, recognized the need to automate such work and has developed a highly flexible, high-performance system called “RoboMix” that can be used to automatically commingle bricks. A conceptual version of the “RoboMix” brick mixing system will be debuting at ceramitec 2015.
