New order for a Micromatic installation in Morocco

The Briqueterie Belbrique in Berrechid (Morocco) decided to replace up to 70% of fuel oil consumption in its kiln with micronized petcoke, using a Micromatic model.

This substitution will be a major energy saver, as the price of fuel oil is rising sharply this year in Morocco, and as the Belbrique kiln produces up to 600 tonnes of blocks a day. This will be the 11th kiln operated using solid fuel firing installations provided by Beralmar in Morocco.

Commissioning of the first Micromatic installation in Hungary

In September, Beralmar commissioned the first Micromatic installation in Hungary in the Kunsági Téglaipari ceramics plant in Kisjszállás in the east of Hungary.

This is an important milestone in the central European country’s energy situation, as it is expected that this will be the first of many micronized petcoke firing installations in the region, due to the prohibitive cost of natural gas and the convenience and hygiene that the Micromatic system brings. The results of the implementation have been positive, to the point of entirely replacing the kiln’s gas consumption, something which has not always been possible.
