The member companies have decided to continue their Dachkult campaign for another two years. Also represented in this initiative are clay roofing tile manufacturers such as Nelskamp, Jacobi, Creaton, Erlus, Jacobi, Laumans, Meyer-Holsen or Wienerberger. The number of member companies has increased from eleven at the launch of the campaign to more than 20 in total. Moreover, the Federal Association of the German Brick and Tile Industry is also backing the initiative as a supporting member.
Shift in perspective
Klaus H. Niemann, spokesman for Dachkult, is delighted at this decision and the vote of confidence from the member companies. “Dachkult’s goal is to raise again architects’ and planners’ awareness of the advantages of pitched roofs, and to highlight the fascination with pitched roofs and their significance for the building culture and quality of our towns and cities. The current market development shows that we are on track with this, and a shift in perspective in the architectural profession is beginning to emerge,” says Niemann.
