Moderate expansion in 2022

The German-Dutch family-owned de Beijer Group is looking ahead to the new year 2022 with confidence, based on the continuing good forecasts for the construction industry until 2023. „In commercial and public building construction, in road and hydraulic engineering and in residential construction, stable growth can be expected over the next two years,“ says Han de Beijer, Managing Director of de Beijer Groep. For 2022, the family-owned company is therefore planning „moderate expansion“ at the two German sites, he says.

The Sooneck quarry near Mainz plays a key role for de Beijer Groep in Germany, along with a transhipment centre in Duisburg. The quartzite greywacke and sand-lime bricks extracted from the quarry serve as material for numerous construction measures. These include concrete, water, road and landscaping construction as well as the ceramic industry. According to its own information, the family-owned company focuses on sustainability in quarrying and transport; the de Beijer Groep bears the sustainability seal „NL Greenlabel“.
