Welcome to the 63rd Clemson Brick Forum

This year’s Clemson Brick Forum will again take place at the Anderson Civic Center in Anderson, South Carolina, from 2–4 October. Hosted by the National Brick Research Center, the Forum continues to be a place for the sharing of information and ideas throughout the North American brick industry. Brick companies and suppliers come together to discuss individual problems they have experienced and share their solutions.

This year, the technical program will emphasize “back-to-basics”, while continuing to introduce innovation and cutting-edge technologies. Using feedback from brick companies, the Forum strives to be an educational resource for people who are new to the industry, as well as attendees with years of experience. The program on Tuesday and Wednesday includes talks on environmental topics, for example the US American program against air pollution, MACT, and the Silica Regulation, as well as building code challenges that relate to energy codes and new products from industry leaders. The National Brick Research Center’s thermal performance research will also be highlighted.

As usual, the Monday afternoon seminar and lab tour will cover valuable topics for the industry. This year’s seminar topics include “Burner Adjustment and Troubleshooting” and “Burner Control Systems”.

For the first time, the Forum will include information sessions on Tuesday afternoon. The sponsors will host these information sessions in their own hospitality space. Attendees are encouraged to attend these sessions to learn, enjoy some hospitality and possibly win prizes. There will be plenty of time for networking, food, and fun!

Tuesday night boasts the annual steak cookout and everyone is invited to stand around the extra-large charcoal grills and unwind from the day. The evening continues with the opportunity for door prizes and entertainment in the hospitality area.

This year, the Center is hoping for more first-time attendees than ever before. There are company incentives and reduced registration rates.

If you have never been to the Clemson Brick Forum, give us a call! We would be happy to tell you more about it. You can find further information on registration at //www.brickandtile.org" target="_blank" >www.brickandtile.org:www.brickandtile.org.
