Erlus AG: Effective protection against hailstone damage on the roof

Erlus’s E 58 Plus impresses with its hail resistance class 5, as tested by the Institute of Fire Protection and Safety Research (IBS) in Linz, Austria. Now the large-size tile has got some competition from another tile from the company’s own range. The 18-mm-thick Erlus church plain tiles shine with hail resistance class 5. A project covered with Erlus plain tiles recently achieved the maximum hail resistance class of 5+. Other roofing tiles from the Erlus range have now been subjected to this rigorous test and all have been awarded resistance class 4. That means that they successfully withstand the impact of hailstones to the size of a table tennis ball measuring four centimetres in diameter at a speed of up to 99 km/h.
