Tecnargilla 2016: innovation returns, from 26 to 30 September

Less than one month from the official opening, Tecnargilla, the world's biggest event dedicated entirely to ceramic and brick technologies, is shaping up to be a guaranteed success, with 25 editions under its belt, celebrating a sector which saw its greatest ever turnover in 2015.
From 26 to 30 September, the Rimini show will be the first to showcase not only the finest technological innovation on the market today, but also ceramic aesthetics and future trends in furnishing and architecture too.
As always, the figures say it all - confirming Tecnargilla really is the sector's number one event – around 80000 m2 of exhibition space – 7 % bigger than 2014 - will host over 500 exhibitors, of which 40 % will come from around 20 different countries. In line with the totals from the last edition, the organisers are expecting around 32000 professionals to attend the Rimini event, half of whom will come from 100 different countries.
The internationality of the fair is also confirmed by the presence of foreign buyers from North Africa, South America, Eastern Europe, Russia and former CIS republics, Iran, Turkey, India, South East Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, potential buyers with whom exhibitors will have the opportunity to arrange B2B meetings.
A wealth of collateral events will bring added weight to the exhibition. The conference program will include the VIII Acimac Annual Meeting on digital ceramic tile decoration technologies, set to take place on 27 September, and the conference "The international ceramic raw materials market in Europe", scheduled for 28 September.
Aesthetics will once again provide the focus of the Ceramic Workshop, which will comprise displays and events on material stimuli and future colour trends, run by architectural firm Azzolini Tinuper. This year the space will be called “Ceramic Bang”, a presentation of how the world of ceramics has evolved, from the very beginning to the high material definition of today. The event will also include the following exhibition sectors: IED Lab, the Faenza International Ceramics Museum Area (MIC), and the Tecnargilla Design Award, which this year will centre on the theme "Light and Shade".
