Burton GmbH + Co. KG presents: Lightweight Systems = Energy-Saving Systems

The company Burton GmbH + Co. KG, together with Burton Kiln Furniture Kft, will be presenting new and energy-saving solutions. Exhibits for the firing of clinkers, backing bricks, clay roofing tiles and this year also for the firing of stoneware pipes will be shown. Products from the SIC-Range will likewise be on exhibit.
In order to reduce energy-consumption in the kiln, Burton developed systems which are already lighter in weight thanks to their construction. The largest weight saving, however, is achieved by the use of BurcoLight material. Since, as compared to standard refractory material, approx. 30% less mass needs to be heated by using the BurcoLight quality, significant energy-savings could already be realized in practice.

For the tunnel kiln cars energy costs could be lowered by up to 30%. In some cases energy-savings of over 10% can be achieved for the entire kiln operation thanks to BurcoLight. More than 3 500 BurcoLight-equipped tunnel kiln cars are in worldwide operation.

In addition to Burton’s lightweight systems with an excellent thermal shock resistance universal tunnel kiln car border systems with high assembly and repair-friendlyness will be presented.
