Setting the Course for the Future
According to a press release from June 2026, Wienerberger Germany has restructured its sales organization: Effective June 1, 2026, Matthias Meir has assumed leadership of Sales and Product Management for the Steep-Roof Division. Florian Scherr, Managing Director of Sales, Marketing, and Product Management, is handing over the Steep-Roof Division—which he previously also led as Sales Manager—as part of this restructuring.
Experienced Industry Expert
With Matthias Meir, an experienced industry expert is taking on responsibility for two strategically important segments (Pitched Roof and Photovoltaics). The 40-year-old has held various positions within the corporate group for many years and brings extensive experience in procurement, sales, and the development of integrated PV solutions. After holding positions at Creaton in Germany and subsequently serving in a European leadership role at the Etex Group in Brussels, he returned to Creaton in 2019. There, he was responsible for procurement across several European markets and, at the same time, played a key role in driving the expansion of the company’s PV activities. Matthias Meir has been Managing Director of what is now Wevolt Deutschland GmbH since 2023.
New Momentum for the Pitched Roof Segment
“With Matthias Meir, the pitched roof segment is gaining a proven expert who understands the market, products, and customer needs from a wide variety of perspectives—from purchasing and sales to the development of integrated PV solutions,” says Florian Scherr. “The new division of responsibilities is a logical step toward further developing and advancing our activities in the strategically important pitched-roof and photovoltaic segments in a targeted manner.” Matthias Meir looks forward to his new role and close collaboration with Florian Scherr with a clear focus: “I want to further strengthen the positioning of the pitched-roof sales division both internally and externally and lead it into the future with the help of innovative and efficient processes. And I will always do so with our customers’ needs in mind.”
The reorganization will take place gradually over the coming weeks. For customers, partners, and internal teams, the change is intended above all to ensure continuity: regional structures, points of contact, and areas of responsibility will remain unchanged.
New Overall Operational Leadership at Wevolt
At Wevolt Deutschland GmbH, the management structure was also further developed effective June 1, 2026: Florian Scherr and Matthias Meir will remain managing directors of the company. Overall operational management will be assumed by Nadja Führer, who has many years of experience in sales controlling and the PV business and knows the industry inside and out.
Continuity is promised for customers and partners. Responsibilities, strategic direction, and products and services are expected to remain unchanged.
