Increase of production capacity and quality improvement for Kopilovskiy Keramitcheskiy
In Tomsk, in south-western Siberia, Piccinini Impianti is building a plant for an annual production of 60 million bricks (masonry bricks, facing bricks and pored blocks) for the OAO Kopilovskiy Keramitcheskiy. The objectives of the new factory, which is being erected adjacent to the already existing facing brick plant, are to increase the production capacity and to improve the quality of all the products. The facing brick production will also introduce some innovations.
1 Introduction
A main aim of the project is to create possibilities for the manufacture of new product types such as pored clay blocks in accordance with Gost internal standards.
Also the production of facing bricks introduces some substantial innovations: in Tomsk they will be able to manufacture products from coloured masses. Furthermore it is planned to chamfer the bricks on three sides, which facilitates the laying of the products at the work site and also provides for a more attractive joint pattern on the faced wall.
