Belgian masonry brick industry in 2014
The economic outlook at the start of 2014 appeared hopeful, but the situation deteriorated over the course of the year. During the second trimester of the year, economic growth in most countries in the Eurozone stagnated or their economies even went into decline. In Belgium too, the economic motor sputtered. Business and consumer confidence in the economy darkened. On account of this dearth in confidence, domestic demand struggled on a low level, unemployment rate remained on a high level, and buying power stagnated.
