Clay brick and tile making – fit for the future?

To meet customer requirements, almost all brickworks offer a wide range of products, although the main turnover is generated with only a small part of the products.

The talk presents the consequences of the variety of products for the production process, but also for the customers, with the goal of improving efficiency. In Germany, material expenditure has been steadily decreasing while the gross domestic product has increased. In view of rising raw material and energy prices, inefficient resource utilization also means competitive disadvantages for brickworks. For this reason, resource-efficient production processes and products in the clay brick and tile industry are moving increasingly into focus.
