Klaus-Martin Meier reinforces top management at Refratechnik Ceramics GmbH

As of 1 September 2014,
reinforcements are in place at Refratechnik Ceramics GmbH in Melle. Dipl.-lng. Klaus-Martin Meier, as the company‘s new managing director for both the Melle plant in Germany and the Hungarian facility in Sátoraljajhely, is responsible for administration, finances, human resources, IT, inside sales & field service, the engineering office and purchasing. Klaus-Martin Meier is well equipped for his new job. He has some 20 years of experience in the cement and steel sectors, where he advanced from operations and production manager (at Krupp Stahl AG, for example) to chief technology officer (Lafarge Group). One of Klaus-Martin Meier‘s most recent concerns in that position was to organise a new, flexible production organisation and successfully establish a range of alternative fuels for the production process.

Dr. Thomas Reimer, as second managing director at Refratechnik Ceramics GmbH, will be responsible for engineering and production, quality assurance, research & development and compliance at both facilities, Melle and Sátoraljajhely. With the support of Klaus-Martin Meier, Dr. Thomas Reimer will be able to concentrate fully on optimising the company‘s operating procedures.

Going forward, this cooperational management is in a position to cater even more closely to the customers‘ wishes while further expanding the global position of the Refratechnik Group.
