International cooperation between Refratechnik Ceramics and Trend

After a series of talks to explore possibilities for a joint approach, a team from Trend recently visited the Refratechnik factories for the first time. In a planned series, a mutual exchange between the two companies is to take place. In Melle, Refratechnik employees explained about their ordering, quality, technical and sales processes and checks at a workshop. Refratechnik Ceramics Sales Manager Jörn Böke looked after the Trend team for three days.

The two companies aim to develop their respective technologies and markets and to better understand how Trend and Refratechnik products can be combined to maximize benefits for the heavy clay industry.

The German site in Melle has been in existence for more than 125 years. Since 1955, the focus at this site has been on an important refractory product technology. The Burton brand is established worldwide, the refractory products are used predominantly by the manufacturers of clay roofing tiles, facing bricks, backing bricks and blocks.
