23.11.2010 News: Eisenmann takes over the majority of the specialist for adhesive systems intec
On 18 November 2010 Eisenmann took over the majority share of the company intec Bielenberg GmbH & Co. KG based in Erftstadt near Cologne. The internationally operating plant manufacturing company complements its portfolio of application technology by acquiring one of the technological leaders for industrial adhesive systems. intec Bielenberg GmbH & Co. KG continues to remain an independent company. Both parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
By its participation in the company intec Eisenmann can from now on offer its customers highly efficient application technology from a single source. Furthermore, this alliance offers new possibilities when it comes to joint system development and opening up of new markets. “We are proud that one of the technological precursors in the adhesive systems sector has now become part of our company group. Thanks to this gain of expertise we do not only extend our competence in the application sector for the automotive industry; we also see great market opportunities when it comes to the increased use of automized adhesive technology in general industry,“ explains Dr. Matthias von Krauland, spokesman for the Eisenmann AG board of management.
intec Bielenberg GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1972. The company develops, manufactures and sells pumping and dosing systems as well as control technology for viscous and highly viscous media such as adhesives, glues or pastes. intec adhesive systems have been successfully used with the leading automotive manufacturers for more than 25 years. „We incessantly refine our technology, so that we can continue to support our customers by high-performance and customized production systems. We share this characteristic understanding with Eisenmann,“ says Jörn Bielenberg, general manager of intec Bielenberg GmbH & Co. KG. In the sector of the promising multi-component gluing the flourishing company is deemed a precursor.
Adhesive technology is becoming more and more important not only in the automotive industry. Modern joining technology is in demand wherever light-weight components made of fiber composites or a material mix are used. In order to maintain the high process speed in production the focus is in particular on quickly curing multi-component gluing.
