Mineral products from K. H. Gaul

With 25 operations
in Germany’s Rhine-Main-Nahe region, around 300 employees and a well-equipped fleet of vehicles and machinery, K. H. Gaul GmbH u. Co. KG is a company with a solid base. It owns five mines that produce quartzite raw materials for a range of applications. Up to 50 000 t minerals are moved each day.

The company, founded in 1956, offers far more than gravel and grit for the construction industry. Besides its traditional core expertise, the company is developing a new line in mineral products for an array of applications. New products such as graded sands, the fine silica filler KHG Füller QZ and clay/quartz blend KHG Silplast QT are now available based on the extraction of quartzite and sands.

KHG Füller QZ is a fine-grained, inert quartzite-based filler. This filler is suitable for various applications in the ceramics, heavy clay and other industries and technical areas. KHG Silplast QT is a fine plastic quartz-clay blend with a high clay content consisting of kaolinite and illite.
