Joint development of tomorrow’s kiln furniture

Refratechnik Ceramics and HK-Ceram cooperate in R&D

Refratechnik Ceramics GmbH (formerly Burton), Germany, and HK-Ceram Kft., Hungary, are two of the world’s leading companies for the design, development and manufacture of refractory products for the ceramics industry.

The two companies stand for innovative, high-quality refractory materials which already enable the global ceramics industry to meet current challenges, such as energy efficiency, environmental protection and productivity.

To meet the ever-increasing demands of the manufacturing ceramics industry for new innovative kiln furniture in future, too, Refratechnik and HK-Ceram have decided to pool their capacities in research and development. The objective of the cooperation of the two R&D teams is to jointly develop product types of the next generation, including, e.g., light, durable H-setters, for customers in the ceramics industry.

Both companies remain autonomous and independent contact partners for questions on kiln furniture. For further questions on the cooperation of the R&D teams, the usual contact partners from the two companies will be happy to help.
