At Berge Quarry near Meschede/North Rhine-Westphalia, in one concession both greywacke and limestone are extracted and processed to aggregates and construction material mixes for the construction of transportation routes. The material consists in 70% greywacke and 30% limestone extracted from separate working sites. The underlying greywacke is concordantly covered by blackish-grey reef limestone (»1).
